As I was saying, I have been busy... I am going on 18 weeks pregnant, yay! Our whole family is very excited about this. We have had a rough past year, with miscarriages and surgical procedures etc, so it's an amazing feeling that after a year of trying and a year of many things going wrong, we are having another baby, and Ellie will be a big sister! I think I have taken a bit of a hiatus from sewing and crafting as this pregnancy has pretty much taken all my energy out of me. I know those of you out there that have been pregnant whilst running around a toddler understand exactly how I feel. Work is also extremely busy, immigration law is a very demanding area right now in Saskatchewan. We are also building a new house... so we have been busy picking finishing details and spending hours of time pondering over what new furniture we may need etc. We get possession of our house on December 18th, a week before Christmas, did I mention I LOVE Christmas... I can't wait to be in the new house for Christmas.
Back to crafting... I have a few orders on the go. I am working on a baby quilt for a baby girl to be born in November, her mother chose the most beautiful fabric. I actually have the same fabric picked out for a baby girl quilt for us. Since we aren't finding out the sex of the baby, I will have to make 2 quilts. For this order, I am working with Art Gallery Fabrics Littlest collection in the rose colour way. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Art Gallery Fabrics, and when I first saw this line I knew it I had to have it and fast forward a few months and I felt it would be perfect for this custom order as my instructions were to go with a soft palette. I still need to work on the quilt, but I have finished the diaper change pad and burp cloths that go along with this order. Here are some pictures (click on them to enlarge):
