I feel like I deserve another trip to Quiltcon, so... I told my husband I am going back next year. However, this time, sans children!
The other exciting news I have to share is that I was lucky enough to be chosen to be an Adornit ambassador for the next three months. I am so far one month into my journey and let me tell you, this gig is awesome. I received a box of material, colouring books, jewellery, and all sorts of neat crafting items about a little over a month ago. All that I have to do is create crafty stuff with the materials I received and blog about it or update my social media accounts. The fabric is so cute and I promise to update this blog more frequently with the projects that I am creating with that. For today though, I wanted to share some colouring with you.
I know this whole adult colouring thing is big, and people have been doing this for years... however, as per normal, I am a bit late to the game, I am not sure why I didn't start doing this before. Given the fact that my career as a lawyer is generally very stressful, colouring would have been a great outlet for me. That's really the reason why quilting works so well for me, it's my outlet for stress, it helps me create some beauty in my week when I may be otherwise dealing with some pretty stressful and sad situations. This is not to say my job is always stressful or sad... there are victories all the time and some very triumphant moments (especially in the Immigration practice). So along comes this Adornit ambassadorship (is that a word... apparently it is) and ta-da, colouring has come into my life... and I LOVE IT! I love everything about it. I recently bought some watercolour pencils and they are so cool.
Here is my latest colouring attempt... I am still learning and figuring out how to use the pencil crayons. I hope that by the end of my term as an ambassador I will have created some neat cards with the mini colouring pages.
Happy Wednesday everyone!
